Although being alone Nhil rules his vast wasteland home, but in an instant his existence is turned upside-down. When an intruder, with unknown intentions appears, Nihl is curious and, despite his cowardice, he attempts to communicate with her, only to be met with a clear message of intent.

Our Protagonist, Nihl; lives in ‘The Dead Reaches’: a ruined city of a long lost civilization. Scuttling towards his shelter, Nihl is suddenly confronted with a strange light emanating from the borders of his home. Nihl’s his curiosity eventually prevails and he begins to investigate the mysterious presence.
Periodically scuttling, running and cowering behind objects, Nihl moves forward along the corridor of ruins, all while the light in the distance flickers and gains in intensity. Quivering, Nihl reaches the edge of the ruins and encounters Seraphi, an enigmatic and angelic creature hovering above the ground, she has been the source of the strange light. Nihl is so startled that he curls up into a ball while in mid-stride, resulting in him rolling forward slightly before stopping.
Seraphi is much larger and more imposing than Nihl and initially appears unresponsive. After a moment of uncertainty, a curious exchange ensues with both creatures examining each other. Nihl while peeking out behind his claw, feels more at ease with his new company and reaches out nervously with one claw, as a symbol of friendship, and hoping to be taken away from his this place.
The camera switches to Nihl’s P.O.V. as Nihl looks upwards to see many more lights appear in the sky. Before Nihl can flee, Seraphi is shown to rush forward just before the screen turns black and all sound mutes, except for a beating sound, which then stops, representing Nihl’s death.
