WEEK 5 TUTE AND WEEK 6 W-i-P PRESENTATIONS

WEEK 5 TUTE - ADOBE PREMIERE

Premiere workshop:

We learn't how to use Premiere and the various settings we would need to use in order to render a quality video of the final animation.

After the Tutorial I used the program to render some test animations and I was having some trouble getting the quality of the video right, it was boxy and pixelated. So I looked at my noted from the Tute, and they came in handy, otherwise it would have taken a lot longer to figure out the problem. It was to do with the input and output settings not being right. so then I was able to input FLASH .swf files into the program and render some prelim test animations for the Work-in-Progress submission, due soon.

The W-i-P PRESENTATION
I think we did rather well, I will upload all of the work we submitted.
We created a Flash Folio instead of using Power point like other class mates, as we thought having it done now would mean we would not have to start one for the final film presentation, Assignment 5, which requires that we present our work in a Flash Folio.

We got everything done on time. I was happy with my efforts making the animatic even though it was black and white, but I spent a lot of time syncing the images to the soundtrack. I listened to the song for many hours, and worked out where things changed in the sound, so I could use those sounds instead on adding effects, but we will record sound FX for the Final. I documented how many seconds between each cycle of the music, then there certain sound FX came in, etc. It was very time consuming and took many days just to sync it all. So the Animaic was probably the most time consuming part of this submission, but it was the most important too. But the soundtrack layed the beat, and when the cycle repeats, every 5:40 seconds or 135 frames, thats when we would change scenes, except for a few scenes, like the overhead and final scenes, they were two or more beat cycles.

We made the DVD packaging and I think next time I will use a Clear case so we can have images on the inside f the case also. burnt the DVD label with the lightscribe DVD drive in my laptop, and I think it looks great, I will do the same for the final film submission.

Back to working on the next assignment, number 4, the Preliminary Promotional Package, which will be individual and Tom doesn't want me to do any drawing as it will change the look of the film , so I will have to use the images of Seraphi that he has given me and backgrounds from his 3DS model. I look forward to this marketing and graphic design assignment.

Ari.
